This simple Joomla 1.5 plugin simply takes a snippet from the content page and, as the value of the meta description tag in the page head. Search engines often use a Web page describing the target in SERPS, and as such it is important that these descriptions are goal relevant text related to the page content.
New features in SEOSimple (again from autoMetaDescSEO):
@ The ability to customize the way the home is managed meta description. Now you can choose to be automatically generated based on the first page of content, or using the default Joomla site-wide meta desc.
** Title of the HTML setup page. Set your page titles in three different ways:
1. [TITLE CONTENTS] | [SITE NAME]
2. [SITE NAME] | [CONTENTS TITLE]
3. [CONTENT TITLE] (Joomla 1.5 default)
You can also customize what is the separator (in this example. It is a tube, can be any character).
@ In addition, you can customize the home page of your site in the title tag to display a custom string. Thus, instead of just having:
Home | [SITE NAME]-or-Front Page | [SITE NAME]
You can have one of four different designs:
[a custom string] | [SITE NAME]
[SITE NAME] | [a custom string]

[SITE NAME]
